What do you mean by “strategy,” exactly?

We love this question because it can be used to mean a lot of different things. While we have proprietary processes and need-specific frameworks for how we approach strategy, at its core, we think of strategy as an exercise in connecting dots, which also requires identifying all the dots that need to be connected. It’s more than just an action plan; it’s a process of identifying all the variables, learning as much about them as time and budget permits, and using our big brains to map out how your business and brand can navigate the challenges you’re facing.

How long does a marketing strategy engagement take?

It can vary quite a bit depending on what’s involved and what you need. While we don’t have one blanket answer, we can work with you to figure out what strategic work will be most impactful for your organization given the constraints of time and budget.

What makes your approach different from other agencies?

If you look at other agencies, you’ll see that strategy as a service (an equally valuable SaaS if you ask us!) often refers to either brand strategy or performance strategy, or at least is primarily inflected through one of those approaches. We do both and we think there’s immense value in understanding not only the unique strengths of each lens but also using them together—drawing on learnings from the brand to understand performance and leveraging performance insights in brand strategy decisions.

What type of research do you conduct?

We have a robust set of research tools and methodologies at our disposal and will customize each research engagement based on what you want to know. We use both qualitative and quantitative methods and can use our research to develop clearly defined audience personas, create a detailed customer journey map, test creative, or test a particular hypothesis. Along with any primary research engagement, we also conduct robust and relevant secondary research into your audiences, market, and competitors so that we can situate the specifics of your brand within the macro environment it lives in.

Do you offer consulting services?

Sure do! We work with clients to solve a plethora of business problems, including finding the right technology stack to their needs, determining the right approach to measuring success when simple conversion metrics don’t encapsulate your purpose, and running workshops to help align teams. We excel at bringing our “outsider” perspective to work alongside your “insider” perspective so that it feels collaborative, inclusive, and productive.
