What Are Content Hubs For SEO?

Contents Overview
Transcription:
Hi, I’m Chris Long with Go Fish Digital, and welcome to another episode of “60-Second SEO”.
Today we’re going to talk about content hubs, what they are, why they can be beneficial, and some examples I really like.
A content hub at a high level is really just an article that maybe doesn’t answer the question entirely on the page itself, but links out to a lot of other deeper articles that really give the user a comprehensive answer to what the question is or the answer is.
This is an example on Content Harmony’s site. Great article written by Kane Jameson, where it really helps visualize what a content hub is.
So here are some examples of content hubs I really like. When you search for “how to start an ecommerce business”, we can see Shopify ranks really well. They do a great job with content hubs. This article is basically a list of internal links to other articles they’ve written, how to find product opportunities, how to choose a logo, how to find product ideas.
So a really great example of a content hub where there’s some text, but a lot of it is just internal links. Here, when I search “Advanced SEO”, I see Moz ranks really well. And when I go on the site, it looks like this is just really a blog tag that kind of aggregates articles from the different contributors. Looks like they have some pretty smart people who contribute here.
But really, this is just kind of an aggregation of different articles just with a blog tag and optimized for advanced SEO.
So some really good examples of what a content hub is and why they’re beneficial, and maybe get you started on thinking of how you can create your own content hubs for your own website.
