The 15 Hottest Guys in SEO: Did You Make The Cut(ts)?

by Posted @ Nov 08 2013

As a lifelong Washingtonian, I’ve always been fascinated by the annual list of The Hill’s Most Beautiful People. Though the average level of attractiveness varies from year to year, the list is always one of the most hotly debated and anticipated stories in the publication – and that’s saying something!

So, I got to thinking about MY industry – SEO. This is a male dominated field and some days I feel like I’m the only lady in the business. The SEO crowd seems to be overrun with the types of basement dwelling neckbeards who prefer to spend time with their computers than actual human beings.

That being said, there are a few men in the industry who are surprisingly good looking, or as my coworker oh so nicely puts it: “symmetrical”.

I haven’t met most of these search engine optimizers but I have perused the PubCon 2013 speaker list at length and determined who I’d do some nighttime link building with… if ya know what I mean.

Gentlemen, I hope you don’t feel too objectified. Well, no. I do.

Here’s my list of the hottest dudes in SEO 2013:

1. Nick Eubanks – W.L. Snook & Associates, Inc.

2. Brendan Cottam – Seer Interactive

3. Justin Sanger – SupportLocal

4. Greg Barrett – AXZM

5. Max Minzer – ReEngage Consulting

6. Neil Patel – KissMetrics

7. Wil Reynolds – Seer Interactive

8. Tyler Brooks – Mack Web Solutions

9. Mike King – iAcquire

10. Randall Turner – Advice Interactive Group

11. Steve Floyd – AXZM

12. Michael Black – SEOMike consulting

13. John Doherty – Zillow

14. Rand Fishkin – Moz

15. Ross Jones –

Disclaimer: This list was compiled based on the photos in the PubCon 2013 Las Vegas catalog – and my own personal research. If you don’t like your ranking, figure out a way to optimize the symmetry in your face (or buy links here).

Kat, I feel a little weird responding to this being happily married to my smoking hot wife but I feel like this list needs to be expanded.

No Will Critchlow? Todd Malicoat? Danny Sullivan? Barry Schwartz? Ray Grieselhuber? Lee Odden? or even Matt Cutts?

A subjective list, however, pretty funny! As for the prior comments, Kat could’ve done 100 Hot Guys or THEE Hottest Guy, or All SEO Guys or she could’ve made a write up and link to each SEO dude, but who cares. Of course the list could be slimmed down or bulked up. Every article on the web could have those same remarks. Nonetheless Kat, it generated a bunch of buzz which you wanted and good for you! Kudos to taking that leap, knowing you’d be getting grief from people and positive feedback from others, like myself.

    Hey Kat,

To my disappointment I could not find any Australian SEO’s on your list. I’d like to step forward and represent my country, besides my mom confirms I’m at least an 8 so there is no doubt I should be on your list.
